Bloggers getting arrested is on the rise. While not large numbers, there is a disturbing trend of citizen journalists increasingly being targeted by law enforcement ( five arrests in 2003 to 35 last year). From Saudi Arabia to Iran to the USA, bloggers are being subjected to pressures to edit and censor information.

In Athens, the 11 classes in sailing held 126 individual races that were won by 76 different teams. This trend is continuing in Qingdao, China, the Olympic venue for sailing. After four days of racing, 14 different countries are currently scored in a medal position.

Flames were pouring out of the two-story building on Valley Green Drive near De Anza Boulevard. The building suffered significant smoke and water damage. Workers called 911 after seeing flames near an air-conditioning unit on the roof. Many employees who were evacuated from the building spread news of the fire through their iPhones.
